Ristorante Koen

There are times when I wish I could erase many of the five-star ratings that I have given restaurants because you come across an eatery so exceptional that it deserves to stand above most others. Lunch, at Koen, represented one of those times. Our taste buds were delighted by the varied, delicate and inventive flavors we were presented with. The chefs break-away from the typical and offer unique food experiences, including pizza that combined toppings and sauces, which seemed random but were clearly thoughtful, deliberate and well-received by us lucky recipients. We also partook in a delightful expanse of locally grown grilled vegetables served in pairs and perfect for splitting between two expectant diners. And the staff were kind and courteous and even rushed to translate the daily offernings into English. We enjoyed learning about their passion for food and their restaurant. It really was a memorable lunch.
